Introduction
Build on Trollflix. Upload memes to your channel from your own apps, scripts and automations.
The Trollflix API lets you do from code what you already do in the app. Today that means uploading videos to your own channel: export from your editor, post from a bot, or schedule a week of memes from a script, without opening Trollflix.
Quickstart
Upload your first video in about two minutes with a single curl command.
Authentication
Create, rotate and delete your API key, and keep it safe.
Upload a video
Every field, every response and every error code of the upload endpoint.
Errors
What each error_message_code means and how to fix it.
How it works
Get an API key
Open Settings → Integrations on trollflix.com or in the Trollflix app and create your key. You can have one key at a time.
Send a video
POST the video as multipart/form-data with your key in the Authorization
header. The response tells you the new meme's ID and URL straight away.
Trollflix does the rest
Your video goes through the same pipeline as an upload from the app: moderation, transcoding, thumbnails and the feed. It usually appears on your channel within a few minutes.
Good to know
- The API acts as you. Uploads land on the channel that owns the key, count toward your normal upload limits and follow the Community Guidelines.
- Same rules as the app. Anything the uploader rejects, the API rejects too, with the same error code.
- More is coming. This is the first endpoint of the Trollflix API. New endpoints are announced in the changelog.
